Our target project opportunities include Solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems, and Wind Projects, as well as Hydrogen and Ammonia projects. The UGL New Energy Team is seeking an experienced **Project Engineer- Civil** to work on our upcoming [Battery Energy Storage System] BESS Project in Western Australia (WA). **This position is site-based FIFO/DIDO in Western Australia** **ABOUT THE ROLE** This role is responsible for focusing on projects with earthworks, in-ground services and civil structures. The primary challenge of this position is to ensure the project is completed in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet contractual arrangements made with the client **Your duties and responsibilities will include:** * Planning and conducting professional engineering work without direct supervision * Consult, recommend, and advise on specialist engineering areas * Supervise and coordinate multi-disciplined design activities * Control and manage technical interfaces between disciplines, with equipment suppliers and subcontractors * Assist in the preparation of forecasts and the constructability of projects **Your skills and experience:** * Tertiary Engineering Qualifications in Civil / Structural or equivalent. * Substantial experience in Civil / Structural Engineering of energy/utilities projects. * Valid Driver’s License * Proficient skills in computers: MS Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook * Strong communication skills (oral & written), including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally. **ABOUT UGL** UGL Pty Limited is a leading provider of end-to-end engineering, construction, and maintenance services.
