Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Assist in developing detailed project plans, including timelines, materials, and manpower requirements.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and design documents.
  • Coordinate and supervise on-site construction activities.
  • Ensure work is executed according to approved designs, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Technical Oversight:

  • Provide technical support to construction teams on site.
  • Monitor civil engineering aspects like excavation, concrete works, formwork, rebar installation, structural steel, and finishing works.
  • Review and resolve technical issues or design discrepancies with consultants or architects.

Project Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Track project progress, prepare reports, and ensure adherence to schedules and budgets.
  • Maintain documentation of daily site activities, progress photos, material testing reports, and inspection logs.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality control checks.

Coordination & Communication:

  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
  • Attend project meetings and provide updates on progress, delays, and potential risks.
  • Facilitate coordination among different trades to prevent work clashes or delays.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations on site.
  • Promote safe work practices and participate in HSE audits and toolbox talks.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2–5 years of experience in civil construction projects (infrastructure, buildings, roads, etc.).
  • Certifications: PMP or similar certification is a plus; local engineering board registration preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and engineering practices.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design/drafting software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
