Job Purpose

To complete SHE Administration tasks and provide Environment and Waste Management support to the site while adhering to NSW legal compliance and the Unilever Management System. This includes improving Environmental and Waste management systems, spending time on the shop floor, providing Environmental and Waste leadership, practical support, and driving improvement programs at site level.

Key Responsibilities

- Raising and managing all Purchase orders and processes for all SHE suppliers, providers, and contracts.
- Complete monthly reporting for ERS and SPR by the 7th or earlier and finalise yearly reporting.
- Complete Annual Return and submit via E-Connect for EPA NSW.
- Complete NPI reporting on relevant pollutants for EPA NSW.
- Complete NGERS Reporting annually.
- Coordinate sample tests for air emissions, soil and water pollutants twice a year and review results for compliance.
- Coordinate Site Annual Environmental Management Meetings.
- Coordinate and manage all Waste Providers contracts in consultation with Procurement.
- Complete site audits with Waste Providers and prepare reports.
- Organise Monthly Waste Management Reviews with Waste Providers.
- Coordinate annual consultation of Company SHE Policies.
- Review Aspects & Impacts Register annually or as required.
- Identify projects to achieve SHE KPIs and improvements.
- Develop and implement SHE procedures, information, health and wellbeing programs, and maintain existing procedures.
- Coordinate annual emergency mock drills and annual SHE training.
- Monitor incident reporting, investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions within required timelines.
- Monitor all Critical Life Standard recommendations for completion.
- Monitor UMS, Process Safety, and PAR Audit recommendations for completion.
- Provide SHE statistical reports as required (S-Matrix, SBO, Tags, etc.).
- Lead Data & Digital initiatives for SHE, including innovation and analysis of data.
- Maintain SHE Digital Dashboards, Lessons Learned dashboards, and shop floor data.
- Execute other SHE-related responsibilities and initiatives as directed by management and aligned with priorities.

What You Need to Succeed

Experience & Qualifications

Required

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Safety, Health & Environment systems management in a manufacturing environment.
- Certificate IV in Safety or Environmental Management or higher qualification in a related field.
- Hands-on approach and willingness to spend time on the manufacturing shop floor.
- Strong knowledge of New South Wales WHSE legislation.
- Excellent computer and literacy skills.
- Effective communication skills (oral and written) at all levels, including presenting information to various audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across the organization.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
- Ability to use data to determine trends and actions.

Desirable

- Familiar with relevant Australian Standards relating to manufacturing.
- Experience with Environmental and Waste Management.
- Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.
- Experience with manufacturing unionized workforces.
