The Opportunity
We are looking for a Personal Carer to join our team at Woodlands Lodge in our Wallsend. You will make a difference to our residents by facilitating positive health and well-being options for individuals, their families, and carers.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
- Provision of a wide range of Person-Centred Care duties
- Assistance with medication (if you are assessed as medication competent) and wound dressing
- Assistance in daily living activities
- Working with each resident to continue to do the things they love
We are also willing to invest in training and offer you all the support you might need in order to succeed in your role.
What you will need
- A Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support (or working towards)
- The ability to provide a wide range of person-centred care duties
- A desire and willingness to work with each resident to empower them to continue to do the things that they love
- Care skills that are driven by compassion
- Experience in Aged Care desirable
- Current First Aid Certificate desirable
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player who is highly motivated
- Availability to work various shifts across various days

- Applicants must have current and valid Australian working rights (citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid working visa) to be considered for this role.
- Must be willing to undertake pre-employment checks which include but not limited to National Police Check, Reference Checks, Qualification and professional registration verification
- Vaccinated in accordance with UPA's Immunisation and Vaccination Policy
