Senior Care Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a caring and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team in Tamworth.

About the Role

This rewarding role involves providing exceptional care and support to our residents, enabling them to live their best lives. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for facilitating activities that promote social connection, personal growth, and overall well-being.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting daily living tasks, such as mealtimes, outings, and providing emotional support to residents with cognitive impairment or mental health needs.
  • Assisting residents with exploring their interests through various activities and outings, fostering a sense of belonging and connection among the community.
  • Collaborating with the Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to plan activities, document progress, and escalate any concerns.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols and adhering to food safety standards.
Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Previous experience in caring for elders within an Aged Care or community setting.
  • A current Certificate III in Leisure and Lifestyle or Individual Support, or willingness to complete it.
  • A First Aid Certificate (or willing to get one).
  • An Australian driver's licence.
