Talent Focus's Client is a leading Switchboard Manufacturer that is seeking Drafters, Project Managers and QA Officers.
Switchboard Drafter
Responsibilities
- Produce accurate switchboard drawings using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
- Interpret client specifications, electrical schematics, and single-line diagrams.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and production staff to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
- Maintain drawing registers, revision control, and project documentation.
- Provide technical drafting support during project delivery.
Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (or similar CAD tools).
- Strong technical knowledge of switchboard layouts and busbar arrangements.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
Project Manager – Switchboard Manufacturing
Responsibilities
- Manage switchboard projects from tender through to delivery.
- Develop and oversee project schedules, budgets, and procurement requirements.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Monitor progress, resolve issues, and drive projects to completion on time and within budget.
- Prepare and deliver project reports to management and stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
- Background in project management within electrical or manufacturing industries.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Solid understanding of switchboard manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Quality Assurance (QA) Officer – Switchboard Manufacturing
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor QA processes in line with AS/NZS 61439, 3000, and company standards.
- Conduct inspections, FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain QA records, non-conformance reports, and test documentation.
- Work with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.
Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of QA/QC processes in electrical manufacturing.
- Familiarity with AS/NZS standards and electrical testing procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to document, report, and follow up on non-conformances.
- Experience with continuous improvement and compliance systems
