Overview

We are currently recruiting for experienced Agricultural Mobile Plant Operators who are highly motivated and enthusiastic, to operate cultivation machinery for a large-scale vegetable cropping. You will be responsible for assisting with all facets of ground preparation and inter-row cultivation of high-quality potatoes and onions. The role will involve a wide variety of tasks including basic mechanical work, forklift driving, irrigation, harvesting and spraying, meaning no two days are the same.

Extensive on-the-job training will be provided to enable you to perform these integral roles.

Responsibilities

- Operate cultivation machinery for large-scale vegetable cropping.
- Assist with ground preparation and inter-row cultivation of potatoes and onions.
- Perform basic mechanical tasks, forklift driving, irrigation, harvesting and spraying as part of daily duties.
- Adapt to a variety of tasks on a day-to-day basis.

Qualifications

- Experience in operating modern farm machinery including large-scale tractors, harvesters, and spray equipment.
- Previous experience in these fields will be highly regarded.
- Good communication skills to liaise with farm managers and harvest crews.
- Adhere to company OH&S protocols and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Forklift Licence.
- Flexibility with working hours over 7 days/nights.
- Hard-working and highly reliable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.

Salary and Availability

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $68,000–$78,000, determined by experience.
