Principal Consultant / Data & Analytics Technical Lead
What you’ll be doing
Atturra Data & Analytics are looking for a Principal Consultant / Technical Data & Analytics Lead, to own the journey from legacy silos to a unified lakehouse on Databricks. You’ll steer presales conversations, facilitate discovery workshops, shape target architecture and guide a high performing engineering team that turns raw data into trusted insight.
Atturra is seeking candidates who have a passion for innovative technology and driving customer transformation. This person must be able to communicate with a variety of different audiences and must have strong presentation skills. The ability to lead technical groups along with handling critical customer issues is important for this role.
This role will be a 6-month contract to start with, with a good possibility of further extension.
This is an open location, where working in our Atturra office or on the client site (as needed), is a non-negotiable requirement for this position.
Additionally, you MUST hold a minimum of a Permanent Residency Visa to be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Lead migration and analytics engagements on Databricks from scoping through production hand over
- Design, build and optimise batchorstreaming pipelines into DeltaLake, governed by UnityCatalog
- Model data using medallion principles and champion standards that keep quality, lineage and security front of mind
- Embed automated testing, monitoring and CI/CD so releases are fast and recoverable
- Deliver curated PowerBI datasets, dashboards and reusable APIs that enable near real time insight and bidirectional syncs
- Mentor engineers, resolve blockers quickly and present progress, risks and ROI to executives and clients.
What will make you successful in this role?
Technical Requirements:
- A track record of architecting and delivering Databricks lakehouse solutions at scale
- Advanced SQL plus Python orScala, with deep knowledge of DeltaLake, UnityCatalog and DevOps automation
- Experience integrating enterprise systems through REST, messaging or ETL tools and governing enterprise data models
- Confident stakeholder engagement—from technical deep dives to board level briefings
- Exposure to IBMi/DB2,ConnectWise,HubSpot,Boomi,Snowflake or Tableau
- Hands on experience operationalising machine learning workloads in Databricks
- Familiarity with cost optimisation and FinOps in cloud analytics environments.
