Established in 1999, we have an outstanding reputation with our clients, their families, and the providers we work with.

We strongly believe in our person-centred approach which produces the best outcomes for our clients. We are dedicated to supporting our clients achieve their goals, reaching their potential and maximising their independence and participation in their lives and communities.

Why work with us

Genuine support: From the moment you start with us, through induction, your first year with us and beyond, we’re with you every step of the way.

Our unique culture: We’re confident you’ll find our culture genuinely supportive and values-led, which we’re incredibly proud of. We work hard and like to have fun Our staff retention speaks volumes – some of our staff have been with us for 18 years and counting.

Wellbeing focus: Your wellbeing is a major focus. With our wellbeing specific events, mental health first aiders, and check ins, we recognise that our people are our priority.

Our office: Free parking, a fully stocked kitchen, a hard working coffee machine, doggo-friendly and relaxed vibe at our lovely Carnegie office space, and access to our Western Hub if you’re in the vicinity.

Social life: We’re big on regular social events, both in the office and outside of work. Fundraising lunches, a silent disco, group pilates classes and a trip to the snow – just to name a few

Benefits: In addition to your salary you receive annual leave loading (17.5%), superannuation (11.5%), travel reimbursement, laptop and phone, 5 days of PD leave and 5 weeks of annual leave.

Your day to day

You’ll be supported: we make sure your transition into a new workplace is smooth and supported. Whether this is your first community rehab job, or you’re experienced in the sector, we’ve got you covered with our extensive induction program, clinical and professional supervision, mentoring, and our unique Resilience Buddy Program. We aim to give you a mixed caseload with a range of levels of complexity so that you have the opportunity to grow through challenges, and feel a sense of accomplishment with client wins.

You’ll have variety: every day is different. You’ll see clients with neurological conditions, such as traumatic brain injury, stroke and Parkinson’s Disease, and support them to achieve their goals across areas of practice like speech, language, swallowing, voice, cognitive-communication and AAC. You’ll work closely with clients, their families and supports. You’ll most likely see your clients in their home, however you might also see your clients out in the community at the shops, at their day program or at work. The variety is just one of the great things about working in community rehabilitation.

You’ll help clients achieve their goals: using an evidence-based approach through assessment, intervention, goal setting and outcome measurement, as well as some creativity. Our clinicians find this an incredibly rewarding and satisfying aspect of the role. You’ll also be liaising with external providers, such as TAC and NDIS, to advocate for your clients – including phone calls with support coordinators and members of the multidisciplinary team, and writing reports. Our Speech Pathologists have worked with clients to present at aphasia conferences, access AAC for the first time in their lives, and eat their favourite food.

We’ll support you to achieve your goals: as well as supervision and mentoring, we have a dedicated Career Journey Program as you commit to lifelong learning and working on your own career goals. We are invested in your growth as a clinician. You’ll also have an opportunity to supervise and mentor other members of the MDT, as well as supervise other clinicians. You’ll have access to internal and external professional development opportunities.

You’ll be part of a team: As a valued member of the Speech Pathology team, you’ll be actively involved in team meetings, social catch-ups and opportunities to participate in projects. You’ll also be involved in MDT clinical work, staff meetings and social activities.
