Join Certis Australia as a Retail Security Officer, reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of people and assets at 3 major retail hotspots in the West, North, and South of South Australia. Dedicated to ensuring safety and serenity, you will bring your exceptional customer service skills to the forefront and embark on a career journey The Retail Security Officer ensures that service delivery and operational security are maintained without delay or compromise, providing a secure and positive environment for both shoppers and staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a visible security presence, ensuring the safety of customers, staff, and property.
- Respond swiftly and professionally to incidents, managing emergency situations effectively.
- Defuse tense situations and maintain a calm, approachable, and positive atmosphere.
- Provide high-quality customer service to clients and customers, ensuring their concerns are heard and addressed.
- Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security records.
- Assist with investigations, working closely with the site team to resolve security-related issues.
- Support the team in implementing emergency procedures and maintain awareness of safety protocols.
- Utilise technology to communicate effectively and manage daily security operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Mandatory:
- Current Security Licence
- Cert II in Security Operations
- First Aid Certificate
- Full working rights in Australia
- Previous retail security experience
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in security or similar fields.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- A passion for providing excellent customer service and maintaining a safe environment.
