Position Purpose

Join Certis, a global leader in integrated security services, and step into a critical leadership role at Whyalla Airport. As a Duty Shift Supervisor, you'll guide and support a high-performing team of Aviation Security Officers and Team Leaders, ensuring the safe, compliant, and professional operation of one of South Australia's key regional airports.

Your role

As a Duty Shift Supervisor, you will:

• Lead aviation security personnel to ensure consistent service delivery and regulatory compliance
• Support, coach, and mentor frontline staff to maintain high performance
• Oversee shift operations, including team deployment, coordination of breaks, and addressing resourcing issues
• Respond to operational challenges, incidents, and performance concerns, escalating as required
• Liaise with airline representatives, airport authorities, and internal teams to ensure efficient day-to-day operations
• Promoting a culture of Security with Service and Integrity
• Conduct compliance checks, ensure all equipment is operational, and brief staff on ad-hoc tasks
• Ensure accurate documentation and incident reporting in line with Certis policies

This Role Offers

This is a part-time position involving rotating shift work across a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays. Rostered hours are subject to flight schedules, and flexibility is essential to meet operational demands.

Applicants who do not currently hold a Certificate II in Transport Security Protection will be provided with the required training and support to obtain the qualification as part of the onboarding process.

· Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)

· Fully certified and accredited to perform Aviation Security Operative duties

What you Bring

Desirable Qualifications:

• Certificate II & III in Security Operations
• Current NSW 1A Security Licence (or equivalent SA licence)
• Valid Senior First Aid Certificate
