What you'll do:

- Partner with regional business units to provide insightful financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting that supports informed decision-making across multiple projects.
- Collaborate closely with project teams to understand operational needs and deliver tailored financial advice that aligns with organisational objectives.
- Prepare comprehensive management reports for review by the Senior Finance Manager and CFO, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all financial communications.
- Monitor project budgets and expenditure, identifying trends or variances and recommending appropriate actions to maintain financial health.
- Contribute to the annual budgeting process by gathering data from various stakeholders and synthesising it into actionable plans.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities by ensuring timely submission of relevant financial information from regional teams.
- Assist in developing robust financial models that evaluate new business opportunities or changes in project scope.
- Foster strong working relationships with internal clients by providing responsive support and clear explanations of complex financial concepts.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining reporting processes and enhancing overall efficiency within the finance function.

What you bring:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline; progress towards CA/CPA accreditation is advantageous but not essential.
- Demonstrated experience in finance or accounting roles where you have provided analytical support to operational teams or business units.
- Experience or background working in Big 4 or chartered accounting firm is preferred.
- Proficiency in preparing management reports, forecasts, and budgets using advanced Excel skills or similar tools.
- A keen interest in tech IT industry solutions preferred.
- Understanding of project accounting principles or previous involvement in supporting project-based work would be highly regarded.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline; progress towards CA/CPA accreditation is advantageous but not essential.
