Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Assistant Finance Business Partner on a contract for 3 months.

**Position Overview**

THIS ROLE IS TO COVER PATERNITY LEAVE AND WILL ASSIST THE FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNER IN MONTHLY AND QUARTERLY EXECUTIVE REPORTING, AS WELL AS ASSISTING IN PROVIDING DAY-TO-DAY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ADVICE AND EXPERTISE TO THE CSIRO EXECUTIVES, LEADERSHIP TEAM, AND BOARD. THIS ROLE CONTRIBUTES TO THE DELIVERY OF ACCURATE, QUALITY FINANCIAL REPORTING, FORECASTING, AND MODELLING AND WILL ASSIST WITH MONTH END REPORTING REQUIREMENTS INCLUDING DATA DOWNLOADS, MANIPULATIONS, CONSOLIDATIONS AND FINANCIAL ANALYSIS IN SUPPORT OF THE ENTERPRISE SUPPORT EXECUTIVES.

**Skill and Experience**

Executive and board reporting

Prepare, query and reconcile Executive and Board financial reporting
- ET QBM report - quarterly (Sept, Nov, Feb, April meetings assumed).
- ET Monthly financial snapshot report - monthly, Aug to June.
- Board Financial performance paper - quarterly (dependent on Board meetings) - Sept
- Advice and analysis - as required

Accounting procedures Prepare and update standard accounting processes to be applied within ESS.
- Prepayments process
- Consultancy process - Sept.
- Others - as required.

ES monthly and quarterly BU meeting support Support monthly and quarterly meetings with cost centre owners in Enterprise Services (ESS) Portfolio, including reporting, analysis and recommendations.
- Provide support to Finance Business Partner for financial review with Executive stakeholders
- Reporting for monthly and quarterly meetings and reviews

CBIS fixed costs support

Provide business partnering (including reporting, budgeting, forecasting and ad-hoc analysis and costing) to CBIS on fixed costs.
- Fixed costs review - quarterly.
- Forecasting and costing/analysis - as required.
- ESS financial input and advice - as required.

ES quarterly budget change request maintenance

Support Finance Business Partner with stakeholder meetings and put BCR templates into the system to reflect budget change requests
- Entering BCRs into the system
- Reflecting changes into the Salary Forecast tool

**SELECTION CRITERIA**

**ESSENTIAL**

Under CSIRO policy only those who meet all essential criteria can be appointed.
- A tertiary qualification in accounting or finance as well as completion of the CA/CPA Program, or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge and/or experience in management accounting, reporting, forecasting, budgeting and project accounting in the government sector.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, analyse and manage financial risk, and assist with providing mitigation strategies.
- Demonstrated ability in communicating financial management information and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders in order to achieve a high level of trust.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and flexibility to work assignments while fostering open communication and collaboration.
- High level of Microsoft Office and SAP
