Council of the City of Sydney, Australia Abby Health Full time

About Abby Health

Abby Health is Australia’s busiest online clinic, built for the future of primary care. Founded in 2023, Abby was established to address one of the most urgent issues in Australian healthcare: access. We connect patients to licensed GPs and nurse practitioners through same-day, online first care, delivering high-quality treatment for everyday issues. Behind the scenes, we use structured patient histories, smart intake tools, and streamlined workflows to make every consult feel more like self-care. Our approach is guided by three core values: Smart, Beautiful, and Caring. We believe the future of primary care is affordable, same-day, and online first, with most care delivered remotely and in-person visits becoming the exception.

Since launching, Abby has become a trusted name in digital healthcare in Australia. We’re used by hundreds of thousands of Australians, with a 4.7/5 average rating on Google and Trustpilot. We’re quality-first and purpose-driven, dedicated to making care better for patients and clinicians alike.

About the role

We offer fully remote / flexible / full time / part time / casual opportunities across Australia 7 days a week from 5.30am to 11.30pm. We offer a transparent and competitive remuneration model.

- $150+ per hour, no lock-in contracts — work on your own terms and choose your hours
- Medicare rebates only, ensuring a high volume of patients without financial barriers
- Minimal post-consultation admin — our support team handles patient follow-ups and documentation

Who we are: Founded by Clinicians, Designed for Clinicians

We bring together experienced medical professionals and innovative thinkers to build the future of primary care. We value a diverse range of skills and expertise—from doctors and nurse practitioners delivering frontline care to product specialists and engineers optimising the patient experience. Our culture is built on collaboration, adaptability, and shared problem-solving. All practitioners on Abby Health are fully licensed, Australian-based nurse practitioners with years of experience. They are trained in telehealth and follow strict medical guidelines to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care. All patients receive the same level of medical expertise as they would in a traditional clinic.

We are a values-driven organisation. Everything we do is guided by three simple principles: caring, beautiful and smart. These values shape our culture, inform our decisions, and define how we work with each other and our community.

How you will make an impact

At Abby Health, we care for a diverse range of patients, from young professionals managing their health on the go to rural Australians who struggle to access in-person care. Many patients don’t have a regular GP or NP, so they rely on Abby for trusted, ongoing support. We see over 7,000 patients every week. Our clinicians diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, from general health concerns and chronic conditions to mental health and sexual health care. From new diagnosis to prescription, pathology request, specialist referral, or preventative care, we ensure they get the right treatment without unnecessary barriers.

What you’ll do

As a Telehealth Nurse Practitioner at Abby Health, you will provide virtual consultations and patient assessments, helping individuals across Australia access quality care from the comfort of their homes.

- Conduct virtual consultations via phone and video for general health concerns, chronic conditions, and acute presentations
- Provide prescriptions, referrals, pathology requests, and ongoing treatment plans
- Review structured patient histories before consultations to improve clinical efficiency
- Carry out follow-ups and long-term care management, ensuring continuity of care
- Support a diverse patient base, including individuals in regional and remote areas with limited access to in-person care
- Set your own schedule, with a minimum commitment of 6 hours per week (up to full-time availability)
- Use our cloud-based practice management system, with real-time support from our medical team

What we offer

Work from anywhere, anytime. We offer the flexibility to set your own hours and balance work with life. We also offer industry-leading rates and bulk-billing options.

- Industry-leading rates and bulk-billing options
- Dedicated Support Team: response times under 9 minutes and help with bookings, referrals, and documentation

Dedicated Support and culture

Our support team responds quickly to clinician requests and provides real-time assistance. Our intelligent Telehealth platform enhances clinical decision-making and lets clinicians choose cases that match their expertise with a patient-preference system and structured patient histories.

A supportive and inclusive culture for clinicians where all healthcare providers—regardless of role, background, identity, or experience—feel respected and empowered to contribute fully. We promote psychological safety, equity, and mutual respect, with access to clinical guidance from our Clinical Director and Chief Medical Officer, and a network of 190 other practitioners.

A professional and ethical approach to patient care

A professional and ethical approach to patient care in Australia is guided by nationally recognized standards and codes developed by regulatory bodies such as AHPRA and National Boards. These standards ensure clinicians deliver safe, respectful, and culturally competent care.
