Overview

Tradelink’s Commercial Civil Mechanical branch in Canberra is seeking a dynamic Account Manager to take charge of a portfolio of major clients while driving new business opportunities. Based at Hume, this role will see you on the road building relationships across Canberra, Queanbeyan, Yass, Cooma, and Goulburn, working with developers, commercial builders, and plumbers.

Your responsibilities

- Manage and grow an existing portfolio of civil, mechanical, and commercial clients.
- Develop new business opportunities with major developers, builders, and contractors.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers.
- Partner with the estimating team to deliver tailored solutions and support bids.
- Proactively identify opportunities to increase customer spend and improve share of wallet.
- Represent Tradelink through site visits, meetings, and industry networking.

What you’ll need to succeed

- Sales-Driven Experience: Proven ability to win business, deliver growth, and manage key accounts.
- Industry Connections: Networks in civil, mechanical, plumbing, or development sectors will be highly regarded.
- Commercial Acumen: Confident communicator and negotiator with strong business awareness.
- Hunter Mindset: Motivated by results and passionate about building lasting customer relationships.
- Licence & Work Rights: You must hold a full driver’s licence and full Australian working rights, as sponsorship is not available for this role.
