Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join a highly respected organisation in Sydney. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in managing infrastructure, network, and security projects, particularly within a managed service provider environment. The position offers hybrid working arrangements. Experience with ServiceNow is advantageous but not essential.
- Enjoy a generous daily rate of $650 including superannuation, reflecting your expertise and commitment to delivering successful project outcomes.
- Benefit from flexible hybrid working arrangements based in Sydney, allowing remote and onsite work as needed.
- Work on impactful infrastructure, network, and security projects within a supportive team environment that encourages collaboration and continuous learning.
What you'll do
As a Project Manager in this Sydney-based hybrid role, you will steer critical infrastructure, network, and security initiatives from inception through to completion. Your day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals, maintaining clear communication between stakeholders, and keeping meticulous records of progress and challenges. You will adapt to the managed service provider environment and foster an inclusive atmosphere that supports growth. ServiceNow experience will help optimise processes, but delivering high-quality results remains the primary focus.
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of complex infrastructure, network, and security projects, ensuring milestones are met within timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate with technical teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with business objectives.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, manage resources efficiently, and monitor progress to address risks or issues proactively.
- Facilitate regular project meetings to provide updates, gather feedback, and foster open communication among all involved parties.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with organisational standards and industry best practices.
- Coordinate change management activities to support smooth transitions during project implementation phases.
- Utilise experience in managed service provider environments to navigate complex client requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Leverage familiarity with ServiceNow to streamline workflows and enhance project tracking where applicable.
- Support post-implementation reviews by gathering insights and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement across future projects.
What you bring
To excel as a Project Manager, your background should include substantial hands-on experience overseeing infrastructure-related initiatives—particularly those involving networks and security—in fast-paced environments. You should understand managed service provider operations to anticipate client needs while maintaining strong relationships. You bring technical acumen along with strong people skills, and a detail-oriented approach to planning and execution. Knowledge of ServiceNow is helpful but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale infrastructure, network, and security projects within complex environments.
- Proven track record in managed service provider settings with adaptability and client focus.
- Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent organisational abilities for handling multiple priorities without compromising quality or deadlines.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar platforms is highly regarded but not mandatory.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and facilitating discussions.
- A detail-oriented approach ensuring accuracy in documentation and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Commitment to fostering a supportive team culture and knowledge sharing.
- Ability to identify risks early and implement proactive mitigation measures.
