Remuneration: Band 4 salary from $78,402.48 per annum plus superannuation and a fortnightly RDO

About the role

As part of this role, you/'ll provide crucial administrative support to the Economic Development Unit, ensuring smooth services, including business events. Your tasks include managing calendars, improving business-to-business marketing, and handling routine administrative duties for efficiency. Building internal relationships and collaborating on projects with other Council departments are integral to this position, along with active involvement in risk management activities.

What your day will look like

- Efficiently support Economic Development Unit services, including events and stakeholder engagement.
- Contribute to business-to-business marketing development and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate the Manager Economy, Design & Place’s calendar, and manage relevant correspondence.
- Perform routine administrative tasks for service efficiency, records, and purchasing administration.
- Cultivate strong internal relationships to align Unit operations with organizational requirements.
- Contribute to collaborative projects with other Council departments.
- Take an active role in risk management within designated responsibilities.

What you will bring

- Degree or diploma course In Business Administration or lesser formal qualification with relevant work skills and experience in a similar role.
- Experience in supporting team operations within a complex working environment.
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, document management software, administrative systems and processes
- Sound knowledge of customer relationship management, event booking platforms, and customer feedback tools
- Demonstrated experience in working with and/or in a small or medium enterprise.
