What you'll do You will design and implement initiatives that elevate the organisation’s profile and foster positive relationships with stakeholders. Responsibilities include crafting content for multiple channels, advising on campaign strategy, responding to media requests, and supporting colleagues with expert guidance. You will balance creativity with strategic thinking, maintain meticulous planning and reporting, and drive awareness of information rights through modern communication tools and strong internal and external networks. Your work supports transparency, inclusivity and public trust. - Provide strategic and operational communications advice to executive leadership, ensuring messaging clarity and consistency across the organisation. - Support teams in planning, delivering and managing stakeholder engagement activities, including major campaigns and high-profile projects. - Develop a diverse range of communication materials such as campaign messages, media releases, news items, social media content, and audience-tailored pieces. - Prepare comprehensive documentation including project plans, communications strategies, stakeholder engagement frameworks, and evaluation reports to demonstrate governance. - Build networks within and outside the organisation to maximise message reach through diverse channels. - Coordinate responses to media enquiries and manage social media interactions in consultation with subject matter experts or senior leaders. - Advise on best practices for campaign delivery and support colleagues in achieving communication goals. - Monitor engagement initiatives through data analysis and feedback collection to inform improvements. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align communication activities with organisational priorities. - Champion innovative tools and platforms to enhance audience engagement and message retention. What you bring The ideal candidate combines technical proficiency, creativity and emotional intelligence. You have hands-on experience developing multi-channel campaigns with industry-standard tools and can engage diverse audiences. You communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively, whether drafting press releases or responding on social media. You listen actively, provide thoughtful solutions aligned with organisational goals, and adapt to new technologies with a commitment to professional development. Integrity and confidentiality are essential. - A tertiary qualification in marketing or communications is highly regarded. - Experience using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Vision6, Canva, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube for content creation. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences. - Strong interpersonal abilities to build rapport with stakeholders and collaborate within teams. - Proven capability in planning complex campaigns or projects and managing competing priorities. - Experience providing strategic communications advice to support decision-making. - Commitment to continuous learning and personal development. - Sound judgement in handling sensitive or confidential information. - Familiarity with evaluating campaign outcomes through data analysis.
