What you’ll be doing: - Build and implement financial systems that scale with the business. - Oversee day-to-day financial operations including AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations. - Deliver cashflow forecasting, budgeting & reporting to support strategic decisions. - Create robust financial controls, dashboards and performance analysis across projects. - Partner directly with the Managing Director and consultant CFO to shape financial strategy. - Ensure compliance with all statutory obligations (BAS, PAYG, super, etc). What we’re looking for: - CA/CPA qualified (or near completion). - 5+ years’ experience in a similar role (similar sized company) and ideally has come from construction or project-based industries. - Strong financial modelling, Excel, and reporting skills. - Track record of building or improving financial systems from the ground up. - A confident communicator who can translate financial insights for non-financial stakeholders. - Someone who is forward-thinking and proactive, with the ability to anticipate challenges before they arise. - Construction industry software experience (Buildertrend or similar) is a bonus The opportunity This is more than just "keeping the books" - it’s about adding real value to a business on an upward trajectory.
