About the opportunity

There is currently one permanent position available for immediate filling.

Role

We are looking for a Sponsorship and Events Coordinator who will promote the department’s brand, products and services through the development and execution of innovative events and activations. Events range from corporate functions to regional field day displays and community events.

Our desired candidate has strong organisation skills, attention to detail and flair for creating engaging events and displays across a wide range of topics and stakeholder groups. The role coordinates the department’s involvement in external industry and community events, evaluates sponsorship opportunities and oversees the department’s sponsorship program. Some regional and overnight travel within WA is required.

Responsibilities

- Promote the department’s brand, products and services through event development and execution.
- Coordinate involvement in external industry and community events and evaluate sponsorship opportunities.
- Oversee the department’s sponsorship program and ensure events are delivered on time and within budget.
- Travel within WA as required.

Qualifications and Skills

- A passion for community engagement and the ability to build strong relationships with corporate and business stakeholders.
- Experience in event development and delivery with planning, budgeting, multitasking, coordinating and evaluating events.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including drafting promotional materials for stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience coordinating sponsorship opportunities and providing recommendations on involvement and ROI.
- Current and valid Western Australian C (car) class driver's licence or equivalent (must be obtained prior to commencement if not held).
