Overview
Job Description : From humble beginnings to extraordinary futures, Diageo is centred on crafting incredible stories of ambitious possibilities. From our iconic global brands such as Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff, Tanqueray and Don Julio, to our local homegrown heroes Bundaberg Rum, Ello and Mr Black, we are a team of pioneers, looking to lead the future of our industry and brands from today. At Diageo, you will be a chosen custodian of our brand portfolio, entrusted with building brands for consumers to celebrate with in the moments that matter. Alongside you will be a group of ambitious, passionate and innovative people, who will help you to achieve extraordinary heights. Together, you will help us create a future worth celebrating.
What will your role be? Join our team at Diageo as a Demand Planner and be at the forefront of shaping our supply chain's future. In this pivotal role, you'll report directly to our Integrated Business Planning Lead, driving engagement across both our commercial and broader supply chain teams. Craft precise demand forecasts that not only capture consumer trends but also align seamlessly with our commercial and operational strategies. By using your analytical prowess and statistical modeling skills, you'll help ensure strong customer relationships and support Diageo's ambitious growth objectives.
As a catalyst for innovation, you'll dive deep into the demand planning process, uncovering opportunities for improvement and efficiency. Your insights will enhance forecast accuracy, ultimately benefiting our key retail partners. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build comprehensive demand forecasts that strengthen customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Lead the integrated business planning process across monthly cycle, leading into owning the future demand forecast out to +24 months;
- Facilitate and lead relationships with key internal partners including Finance, Commercial and Marketing to drive alignment to the one number forecast;
- Coordinate and provide direction to the team for problem-solving and risk mitigation strategies;
- Self-direct and lead process improvement projects focused on developing more robust demand accuracy; and
- Drive critical thinking and innovative process improvement not only within Australia but showcasing best practice from our market at a global level.
What will you bring to the table?
- Established experience within a demand planning function, ideally with some exposure across other areas of Supply Chain;
- A high level of demonstratable stakeholder engagement and influence, with proven ability to engage and develop relationships;
- A natural curiosity and ability to not only spot opportunities for improvement;
- The ability to adapt quickly in the face of changing systems and process; and
- Advanced Excel Skillsets required and an exposure to SAP is highly desirable.
