The primary focus of this role is to facilitate behaviour change programs and undertake assessments, counselling, referrals and case reviews for a range of clients including facilitating group programs for men who are referred due to their use of violence and abuse within their intimate relationships.**The position requires:*** A deep understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence and counselling practices* A high degree of experience in client work* Professional epistemological (framework) awareness* Creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore the underlying causes of their behaviour, understand the impact of their actions, and develop healthier ways of relating to others* Travel and court support**Key Responsibilities include:*** Facilitate behaviour change programs for men who perpetrate domestic violence, promoting accountability and positive change* Provide individual intake/review and group sessions to clients, utilising evidence-based practices* Implement safety planning for clients and their families, ensuring a focus on risk management and the cessation of violence* Networking with the police and criminal justice sector and other agencies and services who work in the field of domestic and family violence.## * A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a Human Services related field, including Social Science, Psychology, Social Work or Counselling.* Demonstrated experience in domestic and family violence, with a strong understanding of the dynamics and impacts.* Proven fundamentals in counselling practice, with a high degree of experience in client work.* Epistemological awareness and ability to work within individual frameworks.* Expertise in safety planning and risk assessment.* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.* Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.* Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice* A current drivers license* "Working with Children check" (Blue card)*Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and therefore may result in the role closing early if the right applicant is found.* * **Flexible work arrangements** to support work-life balance* **NFP Salary Packaging:** Save tax and increase your take home pay by salary packaging your everyday living expenses and bills (up to $15,900) and meal entertainment (up to $2,650) per annum.
