Description

The Role

The Facilitator will be responsible for training and assessing students enrolled in their courses, fostering a culturally safe and supportive learning environment that empowers participants to reach their protentional.

This position is only open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants in recognition of the importance of cultural knowledge, lived experience, and connection to community in supporting Bamara to deliver culturally responsive education and training programs.

This is an identified role under Section 14d of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 and as such Aboriginality is an essential requirement of the role. Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate group sessions in person and onlineUtilise the pre-built course material to facilitate digital literacy and job searching skills for participants.Assist students with understanding and comprehending course materialsAssist with identifying local career opportunities and goals for studentsEnsure students are on track and progressing through their course workAssist students and provide a tailored way of explaining course material Assist students on boarding their courseUpload and maintain documents and files required for course commencement and completion. Ensure that devices and course material are in working order prior to course commencement. Set up and pack up training area daily.Conduct provider engagement to drive referrals.

Skills And Experiences

Must pass and have a current Police Check (ongoing requirement for employment)Must pass and have a current Working with Children Check and/ or Vulnerable Persons Check (ongoing requirement for employment)

Accreditation to deliver one or more of the following programs is Highly regarded:

Deadly Thinking (Adult and/or youth)Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health First AidCultural Awareness or Cultural Safety TrainingCertificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
