Teacher Learning & Support (0.7FTE) – Maclean High School
Position: Teacher, Learning & Support (0.7 Full‑time Equivalent) at Maclean High School, located on the northern coast of New South Wales. The appointment is for 3.5 days per week.

Regional NSW – South Arm of the Clarence River.
Position Details
Job title: Teacher Learning & Support – Secondary. FTE: 0.7. Remuneration package: up to $156,253.00, with a base salary ranging from $90,177.00 to $137,861.00 plus leave loading and employer superannuation contribution.

School Overview
Maclean High School (approx. 700 students, 17% identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander) is a large comprehensive, co‑educational facility that offers pathways from academic and tertiary education to vocational apprenticeships and traineeships. The school has a robust support system for students with special educational needs and strong partnerships with 12 primary schools to aid transitions. The positive learning environment is guided by core values of Respect, Effort & Safety.
Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach students with learning and support needs (Secondary) or willingness to teach students with learning and support needs (Secondary) in regular classes.
- Proven ability to assess, plan, implement and review individualised support and plans for students with diverse learning needs, including those for whom English is an additional language and/or dialect.
- Strong skills in working collaboratively with classroom teachers and faculty members across disciplines to develop and integrate differentiated instructional strategies and accommodations.
- Expertise in designing, implementing and evaluating targeted small‑group interventions to improve students’ literacy and numeracy skills.
Conditions
Applicants must hold an unconditional full approval to teach from the NSW Department of Education. If you do not hold full approval, you must commence the application process at the same time as applying for this teaching opportunity.
