Role Purpose

The role is responsible for building positive relationships with business units and customers to ensure key accounting deadlines are met, issues and disputes are investigated, responded to, and resolved at the earliest time. The Collections Officer should display a positive attitude and team ethos, work effectively under pressure, and handle conflict professionally.

The Collections Officer is responsible for ensuring best general ledger and collections practice and procedures, with a strong focus on achieving timely debt collection.

Responsibilities

- Performs financial collections across all EssilorLuxottica group and functions.
- Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of all customers processes.
- Ensure that the receivables process is fully integrated into the business.
- Complete complex reconciliation of customer accounts and supplier payments.
- Process Medicare and generate manual invoicing for B2B contracts.
- Analyse and process large volumes of billing data.
- Actively manage the key credit functions.
- Demonstrated experience with billings analysis, invoicing and journals.
- Actively monitor collections and proactively communicate with stakeholders to minimise disputes and concerns.
- Data entry and database maintenance.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
- Maintain current and accurate process documentation.
- Conduct dispute investigations and resolution for all customers.
- Investigate and understand individual customer issues and communicate effectively to resolve promptly.
- Deal with disputes or differences of opinions in relation to account matters.
- Advanced use of SAP & Microsoft Excel.
- 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvements.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and the business.
- Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills.
- Financial qualifications highly desirable.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with remote teams.
