The Senior Business Analyst is accountable for business process and requirements definition, functional design, system configuration specification / validation. The Senior Business Analyst will also participate in and support functional system testing, user acceptance testing and user training activities relevant to the domain. They also work across the domain to ensure consistency, alignment, and avoid silo effects.

As a domain expert with a thorough understanding of the business vision and context, the Senior Business Analyst will provide valuable consulting services, bridging the gap between the Business and Technology teams. They will offer advice on application support and development across its lifecycle, leveraging their deep understanding of the assigned business area and technology standards to drive successful & sustainable technology solutions to address business problems.

The Senior Business Analyst is accountable to drive the uplift of standards and skills through contributing to the BA community of practice. They will also perform a role coaching, mentoring and managing more junior business analysts. The Senior Business Analyst has a customer‑centric mindset with a drive for continuous improvement & innovation.

You’ll have:

- 6+ years’ experience as a business analyst across the end-to-end system development lifecycle
- Best‑practice expertise in “Hire to Retire” business processes, including definition and implementation experience
- 4+ years’ experience working with enterprise agreement/awards and implementing HR, payroll and time and attendance systems
- 3+ years’ experience working in a similar scale, complex organisation and relevant domain
- BABOK, IIBA, BPMN or other business analyst certification (highly desirable)
- Demonstrated experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies
- Expert user in collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence, etc to document and manage stories and other documentation
- Proven track record in communicating requirements both verbally and through user stories, with logical and clear acceptance criteria, that are easily understood by developers, testers and stakeholders
- Lead the solving of strategic problems that have a high complexity
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proven ability to meet goals and deadlines
