- This role is Permanent, Full-time, 76hrs/fortnight.

- The preferred location for the role is Service Office, Tempe however remote work from any IKEA AU location will be considered.

About this work area

As Accounting and Reporting Team Leader you directly support our Record to Report specialists as well as our wider accounting and reporting team. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to;

- Lead the development of the team to secure the right competences, performance and succession

- Support the team with specific accounting and reporting related questions and secure that they are working according to the A&R manual as well as local GAAP

- Develop, implement and continuously improve effective and efficient Accounting & Reporting processes and routines and manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities

- Support relevant functions as a trustful and professional business partner in Accounting & Reporting matters with the aim to offer the customer a seamless shopping experience

- Contribute the business plan process and set clear goals and action plan together with the team in alignment with the business plan and function goals

- Coordinate and/or support internal and external audit, review and follow up on audit findings and recommendations

- Contribute to local and global projects from A&R perspective

- Secure and maintain a connection with and between core areas, business owners, group functions, process teams within the Ingka Group

You are energised by increasing customer value, driving business growth and contributing to overall success and results. As someone who is motivated by leading and developing people, you have proven skills in providing support, coaching and training within a large team. You are CPA or CA qualified, with proven experience leading a team of senior accountants. You bring strategic, tactical and operational business partnering experience, underpinned by strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business needs into financial consequences and solutions. With experience working in a large retail organisation, you are confident navigating complex intercompany transactions and reconciliations. You are a senior accountant with a solid understanding of risk assessment and mitigation in a dynamic business environment, and you thrive in overseeing the end-to-end record to report accounting function. SAP experience is desirable, but not essential.
