Position Description

Nu Creative Design is a building design practice based in Perth, delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects across Australia. We specialise in detailed documentation, practical design solutions, and collaboration with builders and consultants. With a growing pipeline of exciting projects nationwide, we're looking to expand our team with experienced contract drafties who share our passion for precision and design excellence.The RoleWe are seeking a Draftsperson to join us on a contract basis, working remotely with flexible hours. The role involves producing Development Application (DA) / Building Application (BA) drawings, detailed Revit documentation, and shop drawings for a variety of projects. This is a project-based contract role, with the potential to grow into part-time or full-time employment for the right candidate.Key Responsibilities- Prepare accurate DA and BA documentation in line with relevant codes and standards- Develop detailed shop drawings, ensuring clarity and buildability- Model and document projects in Revit with a strong focus on detail and efficiency- Collaborate with our design team, consultants, and builders to deliver high-quality outcomes- Maintain Nu Creative Design's documentation standards across all projectsSkills & Experience- Proficient in Autodesk Revit (essential)- Strong knowledge of timber frame construction- High level of understanding of Australian building codes, standards, and construction practices- Previous experience in residential and commercial drafting/documentation- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, communicate clearly, and maintain a high level of accuracyWhat We Offer- Contract work on a per-project basis with competitive pay- Remote flexibility – work from anywhere in Australia- Exposure to a diverse range of projects across different states- Supportive and professional environment with a focus on collaborationOpportunity for progression to a part-time or full-time role as our practice continues to grow
