This is a full-time role starting on 1 October 2025, where you'll not only be responsible for preparing accurate drawings and documentation, but also play a hands-on role in trade management, procurement, and project delivery.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare detailed working drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for residential projects
  • Collaborate with engineers, and consultants to ensure design intent is accurately represented
  • Produce clear, compliant drawings using CAD and other relevant software
  • Liaise with contractors and trades to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Manage trade scheduling and oversee performance against deadlines and quality standards
  • Coordinate procurement of building materials, including monitoring imports and delivery timelines
  • Liaise with clients, council authorities, and contractors to address queries and resolve technical issues
  • Keep up to date with building codes, industry standards, and best practices

What we're looking for

  • 3–5 years' experience as an architectural draftsperson (residential preferred)
  • Strong CAD skills (AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Revit, or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and technical documentation
  • Thorough knowledge of National Construction Code (NCC), Building Code of Australia (BCA), and relevant Australian Standards
  • Experience in trade management and procurement (advantageous)
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, compliant drawings
  • Strong communication and organisational skills to manage multiple stakeholders
  • Must have the right to work in Australia on a full-time basis
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Building Design, or related field
