About the Role

Based in Bondi Junction you will support 3 women between the ages of 30 and 45 with psychosocial disability. To provide best support, the successful candidate will have previous experience working with people with psychosocial disability or mental health conditions and be confident in working with behaviours of concern.

Joining our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team on a permanent part time basis, you will support people with disability to live their best lives in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living. You can expect to work across a 24/7 roster.

The successful candidate(s) must be able to commit to one of the set roster lines below:

- 54 hours per fortnight:

- Week 1: Mon & Tue 6:30-10am, Thu 3:30pm - 8am (sleepover), Fri 4pm - 8am (sleepover) and Sat 4pm - 8am (sleepover)

- Week 2: Mon 6:30 - 10am, Tue 2:30-8pm, Wed 8am - 4pm and Thu 2:30 - 8pm

- 50.5 hours per fortnight:

- Week 1: Tue 3pm - 8am (sleepover), Wed 4pm - 8am (sleepover) and Sun 4pm - 8:30am (sleepover)

- Week 2: Tue 6:30-10am, Wed 2:30-8pm and Sat & Sun 8am - 4pm

- 42 hours per fortnight:

- Week 1: Mon 2:30-8pm, Wed 6:30am - 2:30pm and Thu 6:30-10am

- Week 2: Mon 3pm - 8:30am (sleepover), Fri 6:30-10am, Sat 5 -8pm and Sun 11am - 8pm

Key Responsibilities

- Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans

- Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities

- Maintain thorough record keeping

- Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues

- Advocate for client choice and control

Skills & Experience

- Experience working with people with psychosocial disability or mental health concerns

- Previous experience working with behaviour support plans

- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
