**Disability Support Worker**

Integrated Support Personnel Pty Ltd (ISP) provides quality-driven personnel and services to NDIS participants in Victoria. ISP is committed to empowering people with disability by providing care support services that ensures our participants are able to engage and interact with the community but also to achieve their goals in life.

**About the Position**

ISP is looking for a person who is passionate about supporting clients to manage their own lifestyles and live the life they choose. Ideally you will have experience with supporting individuals to meet their goals.
Your role may involve providing assistance with all aspects of daily living including meals, personal care, hoisting, assistance with everyday household tasks and meaningful engagement within their home and community environments.

**About the role**

You will need:

- Clear and effective communications skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record management
- Manual handling experience
- A positive and professional approach
- Flexibility and availability are essential in this role, with the ability to work a variety of shifts, morning, day, afternoon, evening, and weekends
- Relevant qualifications are highly desirable, however, someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn will be considered.

**Qualifications & experience**
- Certificate in Aged Care or Disability or equivalent (Don't have one? Speak to us, we can help you)
- Relevant industry experience / 120 hours of placement (palliative care/ dementia care/ help with transferring clients/ use of hoist)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid Certificate & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Current and valid Driver’s Licence, reliable transport with current and full Comprehensive Insurance and a mobile phone with Internet access

**Tasks & responsibilities**
- Personal Care: Showering, dressing, grooming
- Domestic Assistance: meal preparation, light cleaning
- Community access: social support, shopping, appointments, gym program, companionship

COVID-19 considerations:
All Support Workers will be required to wear a mask when working with Participants. ISP will provide masks and sanitizer. In the instance of a COVID-19 outbreak in the workplace, additional PPE will be provided.

- Working with Children Check (required)
