Location: 100% Office-Based (No Onsite Parking)
Hours: 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch break)
Start Date: Immediate

About the Role: We are a small, close-knit law firm specialising in criminal and family law, seeking a Temporary Receptionist / Paralegal to support the practice from now until the 4th of July, with the possibility of an extension or even a permanent role next March.

You’ll work in a hands-on support role, helping with both front desk reception duties and basic legal admin. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain further legal experience in a supportive environment with the possibility of future career growth.

Key Responsibilities:

- Drafting letters and basic legal documents, including powers of attorney

- Preparing briefs

- Scanning and organising legal documents

- Answering phones and greeting clients at reception (low call volume)

- Occasionally walking a short distance (~150m) to collect documents

- General office administration and file management

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a legal office preferred – familiarity with legal systems and processes a bonus

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

- Friendly and professional demeanor – team fit is important in our small office

- Police check (or willingness to obtain) is highly regarded

- COVID-19 vaccination required
