We are seeking an experienced and influential data and analytics leader for an **Assistant Commissioner** role in the ATO’s Smarter Data business line. As a senior member of the Smarter Data executive team, you’ll play an important role in contributing to the strategic direction of data and analytics solutions for the ATO and more broadly APS.

You will be working as one of a team of six assistant commissioners, each with responsibility for a particular component of the data and analytics value chain. You’ll personally lead a team of between 80 to 200 staff, with responsibility for delivery of data and analytics solutions to improve ATO operations and the tax and superannuation systems.

You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, anticipating their needs and ultimately developing and delivering innovative, practical and scalable solutions for the administration of a more effective tax and superannuation system.

You will build trusted relationships and work collaboratively with your peers to deliver on organisational outcomes and meet government commitments. You’ll be an influential leader in the ATO and provide strategic, thought and people leadership in a transforming environment.

You will have a data and analytics background to lead the development and implementation of key strategic and major agency initiatives or programs in a challenging and fast paced environment. We are seeking a professional who can develop our data and analytics solution design capability and mature our program delivery to ensure consistent, efficient and effective solutions.

This role may be offered on a full-time ongoing basis in **Adelaide, Box Hill, Brisbane CBD, Canberra, Melbourne CBD, Moonee Ponds, Newcastle, Parramatta, Perth or Sydney CBD.
