
(Immediate Start) Compliance and Contract Manager

Overview
Compliance and Contract Manager is a permanent full-time role within the Safety, Security and Quality Unit (SSQU) in the Office of the Chief Risk Officer, Department of Health. The role manages compliance, contracts and procurement processes for the department’s statewide security model, ensuring governance, transparency and high standards across safety and security services in Tasmania.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic advice to ensure compliance with legislation, policies and national standards.
- Manage procurement and contract processes for safety and security services across the Department.
- Oversee performance against KPIs and service-level agreements, identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead the full lifecycle of contracts, including negotiation, variations and dispute resolution.
- Offer expert support and guidance to the SSQU team on contract and compliance matters.
- Contribute to policies, procedures and frameworks that strengthen safety and security governance.
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or high-level experience related to contracts and compliance management.
- Current Driver’s License.
Details of appointment
Permanent full time, day worker position, 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Note: The selection process may be used to fill similar vacancies for twelve months from publication date.
Salary and benefits
Salary: $128,102 to $134,832 per annum. Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
