ICT Support and Test Engineer (Sydney Branch)

Location: Ingleburn, Australia. Sector: IT. Salary: $75,000.00 to $80,000.00 per annum.

Overview of the Role

The ICT Support and Test Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, reliability, and security of ICT systems within One World Rental’s Sydney branch. This role involves providing technical support, conducting system testing, and assisting with the implementation and maintenance of ICT infrastructure. The engineer will work across a broad range of technologies, supporting both internal systems and on-site event networks, in line with ISO 27001, ITIL, and company service-level agreements.

Location: One World Rental, 9 Williamson Road, Ingleburn NSW 2565, Australia. Frequent short-term travel to client venues across New South Wales.

Reporting to: APAC Head of Operations & IT

Task & Responsibilities

- Install, configure, test, and maintain ICT hardware, software, networks, and systems.
- Diagnose and resolve ICT system, application, and connectivity issues, escalating to vendors when required.
- Test, monitor, and evaluate ICT systems and applications to ensure compliance with specifications and performance standards.
- Provide Tier 1–3 service desk support, document incidents, and prepare technical reports.
- Assist with the design and deployment of LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and firewalls.
- Maintain cloud and on-premises systems including Windows/Linux servers, Microsoft 365, and Azure AD.
- Develop scripts and tools to automate testing, user provisioning, and reporting.
- Ensure data security, back-ups, and disaster recovery testing are completed regularly.
- Support end-users with training, knowledge transfer, and user guides.
- Contribute to ICT governance, compliance audits, and system change management.

Qualification & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in ICT or related discipline, or minimum 3 years equivalent ICT support and testing experience.
- Proven ability in troubleshooting, systems testing, and ICT support (hardware/software/networks).
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, server and network administration.
- Desirable: ITIL, CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA, Microsoft certifications.
- Strong analytical, communication, and customer-service skills.
