Casual Curriculum Program Deliverer
Do you have experience teaching and a passion for delivering quality history education for a range of audiences? We are looking for versatile and engaging Curriculum Program Deliverers to join our Learning Team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering high‑quality, curriculum‑aligned content for diverse audiences. You will work collaboratively with our team to ensure programs are not only educational but also interactive, immersive, and enjoyable.
What the opportunity is
- Employment with Museums of History NSW
- Guide, Year 6. Remuneration package includes salary ($35.90 per hour), employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
- Casual role
- This recruitment is particularly interested in recruiting staff with an interest and ability in working either at our city sites, or our western Sydney sites (Rouse Hill Estate and Elizabeth Farm).
- Applicants with an ability to work across all our Sydney sites are also encouraged to apply.
What we do
Museums of History NSW brings together a portfolio of iconic museums, rich collections and heritage sites, the nation’s oldest archive collection, vital record‑keeping services and expert staff.
We bring history to life by sharing the stories of our places and collections. Throughout the State Archives Collection, we manage NSW’s official documentary heritage, supporting government transparency and the public’s right to access information.
These two roles do not just sit side by side – they inform and enrich each other. By preserving and making accessible our places, collections and archives, we create opportunities for people to explore the past and better understand their own place in the world. By supporting lifelong learning and inviting people to come together, we promote civic literacy, empathy, wellbeing and belonging.
We believe that history belongs to everyone. This is the promise and the purpose of MHNSW.
Museums of History NSW is a state cultural institution, established under the Museums of History NSW Act 2022. It is an agency of the NSW Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport (DCITHS).
What you'll do with us
This role will deliver high quality curriculum‑based programs to a range of audiences across all Museums of History NSW’s sites and through virtual excursions to enable formal learning audiences to learn about, engage with and enjoy the agency’s sites and activities.
Curriculum Program Deliverers facilitate our onsite programs for students in stages 1‑6 offered at Rouse Hill Estate, Elizabeth Farm, Hyde Park Barracks, Museum of Sydney, Justice and Police Museum and Vaucluse House.

We are expert keepers and tellers of history, and its many stories, peoples, and cultures. We want to create a team and workplace that reflects this diversity as well as the diversity in the communities we serve.
