About the role

The Curriculum Program Operations directorate involves developing, implementing and monitoring the kindergarten to year 12 curriculum in NSW, ensuring quality syllabuses and overseeing the implementation of Australian Curriculum Content.

At NESA we are presently focused on an exciting, transformational program of curriculum reform, and this role is a great opportunity to support/Lead the work of passionate educators.

On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for:

  • Oversee syllabus and policy projects to ensure compliance
  • Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Lead, coach and develop teams across the Curriculum Division

To be successful, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent relevant professional experience.

  • Proven experience delivering large scale government projects

  • Demonstrated project deliverables from complex long-term projects

  • An understanding and knowledge of Curriculum Reform Program and how it the operations are run at NESA.

  • Proven experience monitoring multiple, concurrent directorate projects

  • Understanding of how to process complex issues with NESA policies
