The Senior Manager, Curriculum Projects leads the work of two projects developing resources focusing on curriculum leadership and formative assessment to support implementation of the Australian Curriculum. The role provides expert advice to the Executive Director, Curriculum and ACARA Executive, contributes to strategic planning and national education initiatives, and ensures curriculum projects are evidence-based, innovative, and aligned with ACARA's objectives.
About the position:
- Develop, lead and manage project teams responsible for the delivery of high-quality project outcomes including resources to support school leaders and teachers to implement the Australian Curriculum
- Ensure the quality and timely completion of designated deliverables as described in project plans
- Provide leadership and direction to the project team on relating curriculum, assessment and curriculum leadership
- Oversee ongoing research conducted the the Curriculum Specialist in their learning areas that will inform improvements to the Australian Curriculum and enable consultation, collaboration and presentation at national and international levels
To be successful, you will have:
- Sound knowledge and proven experience in management (leading and developing) high-performing teams, including skills in project management and budgeting, resource development and publication and management of risk and the allocation of human and material resources to meet multiple deadlines and achieve project specifications
- Experience in developing and implementing curriculum in an educational environment, including working with the Australian Curriculum and supporting the professional development of staff
- Communication skills of the highest standard, including the capacity to undertake research activity, generate a range of sophisticated oral and written texts and establish productive relationships within the workplace and with external stakeholders.

ACARA offers an attractive salary package dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate, commencing at $192,004 base per annum, as a full-time equivalent (plus superannuation).
