Role
The Administration role is based in the main office and reception area and undertakes a variety of support roles under the direction of the Business Manager.
The position requires an enthusiastic person with excellent social and organisational skills who can perform a range of administration functions independently. The successful applicant will be responsible for accounts receivable and events, school communications, and general office duties. You will work in the main office with 3 full-time admin staff.
Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable
- Proficiently use all aspects CASES21 accounts receivable,
- Invoice families for school fees, events, excursions, and camps in Cases21 and Compass
- Manage Compasspay and process receipts in Cases21 each day.
- Ensure that all cash and eftpos is receipted correctly and balanced at the end of each day.
- Produce, interpret, and analyse financial reports, including family transaction history and matching transaction reports and family statements.
- Process CSEF applications and monitor student funding balances.
- Complete Financial Summary/Profit and Loss for camps and excursions and fundraising.
- Respond to enquiries from school staff and parents regarding accounts receivable matters
Events
- Supporting staff with compass events. Overseeing and approving events, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Overseeing and managing events via SAL, ensuring all events are loaded to SAL as required from DE
- Managing and organising activities for the Chase Basketball Academy.
- Planning and organising the EOY staff celebration.
- Adding school events to Trybooking and managing the tickets and relevant reports.
Communications
- Website updates and upload photos/info to TV in reception
- Drafting, editing and finalising the yearbook preparation with the principal class.
- Draft, edit and finalise the newsletter for publication 3 times per term.
General Administration
- Provide routine administrative support.
- Attend to student enquiries.
- Perform reception duties, including screening visitors to the school, answering phones,liaisingwith parents.
- Provide first aid to students and staff when required
- Enter arrival/departure times for students on Compass.
- Perform Compass password resets for parents and students.
- Undertake additional duties as requested by the Principal or Business Manager

Auburn High School is the only Victorian government secondary school offering a bi-national French program. The program has been designed to meet the requirements of both the Victorian and French governments (i.e., it meets the Victorian Curriculum requirements) and the French instruction officielles (AEFE). The depth of our school culture is also added to by our international student program. Over 60 students choose our school and play a significant role in broadening local students¿ perspectives.
The teaching teams at Auburn High School operate in a collaborative team environment where high expectations exist. Each year level has an Auburn Learner Quality (ALQ) that guides teachers and students in their work. Combined these ALQ¿s prepare the students for their senior years of learning and provide themes for all activities in the broad curricular and extracurricular offering.
Each lesson is purposefully designed using Marzano¿s instructional model (GANAG), underpinned by high-yield teaching strategies to improve learning. All staff work collaboratively in teams to develop and review the curriculum, develop assessment tasks, collect data, and measure student progress.
