About the Role

The Environmental Services Assistant is responsible for performing all cleaning tasks, including decontamination of beds and cleaning of wards and equipment. Maintains a safe, clean Ward/Unit environment in accordance with Infection Control and Occupational Safety and Health regulations. Successful applicants will be rostered 4 weeks in advance across these shifts throughout the week.

Flexibility to work across a seven-day rotating roster is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

- Perform all cleaning tasks, including decontamination of beds and cleaning of bathrooms, rooms, work areas, tile cleaning, cleanup tools, room cleaning, professional cleaning, and wet cleaning.
- Move patients and perform other orderlier tasks within the hospital.
- Recognise the “Ramsay Way” by providing care and commitment. Support the organisational Environmental goals in performance of all duties.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be self-motivated and work effectively under the direction of the Environmental Services Team Leader. The successful candidate will also meet the following:

- Demonstrated experience in a Hospitality/Healthcare Cleaning.
- High level of personal presentation and adherence to uniform policy.
- High level of cleaning skills and chemical usage, including Knowledge and Understanding of material data safety sheets.
- Good communication skills to interact with patients, visitors and colleagues.

Remuneration

Base hourly rate ranging from $28.71 + superannuation + experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements

- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
