Senior Business Analyst (Workforce Planning Team) – 0000B3XS

About the Role

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for driving decisions relating to the day-to-day management of stakeholder requirements. Utilising your ability to collate, analyse and communicate business information along with your strong collaborative skills, you will be able to facilitate and drive the successful delivery of key business projects and election activities.

The role is a temporary position until 30 June 2027.

- Running and regulating elections

- Communicating and engaging with current and future voters, key NSW community stakeholders and NSW election participants; and

- Investigating possible offences and enforcing electoral and lobbying laws such as the Electoral Act 2017 and the Electoral Funding Act 2018.

Key knowledge, experience and essential requirements

- Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent professional experience (5+ years) working in complex business environments, implementing business process or system change and improvements.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including Power BI, Visio).

- Experience working in an Agile project environment working across multiple streams and projects.

- Political neutrality with no affiliation to political parties or lobbyists/campaigners.

- Satisfactory criminal record check.

How to apply

As part of your application, you will be asked to respond to the two targeted questions:

1. Describe a time when you have managed a complex project. What strategies did you adopt, what was your approach to gathering information, what tools and/or systems did you use, how did you influence multiple stakeholders with competing priorities and how did you measure the success of the project? (minimum 300 words)

2. Describe your experience with stakeholder management. How do you communicate between technical and non-technical individuals and were there specific reports or dashboards you developed to present project outcomes? (minimum 300 words)

You should include a covering letter summarising your skills, knowledge and work experience, along with an up-to-date resume which clearly detail your skills and experience as relevant to this role.
