About the role

We’re looking for a hands-on, solutions-focused Building Maintenance Coordinator to manage reactive and planned maintenance across the City’s buildings. From electrical and plumbing to fire safety, lifts, security, and general repairs—you’ll ensure our facilities stay safe, functional, and well-maintained.

Role accountabilities include:

- Inspect buildings, identify issues, and arrange timely repairs across infrastructure and facilities.
- Oversee contractor performance, inspections, and ensure work meets Council standards and safety regulations.
- Develop scopes, seek quotes, issue work orders, and support budget planning and cost control.
- Conduct property inspections, update asset databases, and contribute to maintenance planning and reporting.
- Deliver scheduled works and projects, respond to building emergencies, and handle customer enquiries professionally.

You’re a qualified professional with a background in building services and a sharp eye for detail. Whether you hold a relevant degree or trade qualification, you bring hands-on experience in leading teams, managing contractors, and delivering high-quality maintenance outcomes.

You understand building systems and compliance requirements, and you’re confident in preparing and managing budgets. With a current Driver Licence and Registration to Work with Vulnerable People, you're ready to hit the ground running.
