Technical Account Manager

City of Melbourne, Australia Fulcrum Full time

Step into a senior programmatic role with genuine scope to influence clients, shape strategies, and mentor the next wave of digital specialists.

We’re seeking an experienced Technical Account Manager (part-time, three days per week) to join a highly respected independent digital consultancy, recognised for its impartial expertise across the Google Marketing Platform and the wider programmatic ecosystem.

You’ll work across the full programmatic supply chain — from DV360 campaign leadership to SSP yield and PMP deal strategy — while engaging directly with senior client stakeholders. This is not a siloed trading or customer-success role. It’s a consulting and leadership position where you’ll set best practice, shape outcomes, and respond to delivery challenges in real time.

The Company

Our client is an independent digital consultancy that helps some of Australia’s most recognisable brands optimise their return on digital media investments. Known for bridging consulting and execution, they specialise in programmatic, data, and technology — partnering with both agencies and direct brands to deliver commercial impact.

The culture is collaborative and flat, with a strong emphasis on professional development, knowledge-sharing, and innovation.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly into the leadership team, the Technical Account Lead will:

- Lead programmatic delivery and optimisation across DV360, ensuring campaigns perform to a high standard and issues are resolved quickly and credibly.
- Advise on supply-side strategy — SSP selection, PMP structuring, and inventory/yield optimisation — and drive adoption with clients.
- Translate technical detail into clear, commercial recommendations that influence senior decision-makers.
- Mentor a junior specialist and align cross-functional consultants (search, social, analytics) to keep delivery on track.
- Navigate the agency, publisher and client landscape confidently across Melbourne and Sydney — partnering in ways that add value beyond execution.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement — refining processes and contributing to consulting products that keep the practice ahead of the market.
- (Nice-to-have) Contribute to audience projects such as audience strategy and migration where relevant.

This role is ideal for you if…

- You want to move beyond pure execution into a consultative, client-facing role with real delivery ownership.
- You enjoy working across both demand- and supply-side programmatic and shaping PMP strategies.
- You thrive mentoring others while staying hands-on with platforms and strategy where needed.
- You’re motivated by innovation and want to shape how programmatic consulting evolves.

About You

- 5+ years’ experience in digital media/programmatic with proven capability across DV360 (CM360 a plus) and familiarity with SSPs and PMP deals.
- Practical grasp of the Google stack and how the components connect; able to troubleshoot in-platform when required while keeping the work consulting-led.
- Strong commercial acumen and confidence in strategic conversations with senior stakeholders.
- Experience mobilising specialists and keeping multi-stream delivery aligned across locations.
- You work the way this team does: proactive, resourceful, always learning, innovative, independent, supportive, and a clear communicator.

What’s on Offer

- Genuine flexibility, including a part-time schedule (three days per week).
- Personalised development planning and a culture of ongoing learning.
- A flat, collaborative structure where your input is valued and your voice is heard.
- Team connection opportunities and knowledge-sharing rhythms.
- Exposure to top-tier clients and projects that shape the future of digital media.

At Fulcrum, we celebrate diversity and know that differences help us thrive. We are committed to inclusion and equal opportunities at every stage of the recruitment process. Imposter syndrome can sometimes hold people back — if this role excites you, we encourage you to apply.
