Seeking a part time Accounts Officer on a temporary basis for our client based in Sydney CBD. This is a hands‑on position where you will be integral to the smooth running of our finance department. You will be responsible for managing day‑to‑day accounting tasks, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our financial processes. Key Responsibilities - Accounts Management: Handle end-to-end processing for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, manage electronic filing, and maintain supplier portals. - Reconciliation & Reporting: Process weekly accounts receivable, assist with the fortnightly payment run, and support month-end close procedures and reporting. - System & Process Improvement: Maintain the general ledger, recommend improvements to accounting systems, and document business processes to strengthen internal controls. - Advisory: Provide technical support and financial advice to the wider Supply Nation team. - Cultural Leadership: Champion cultural values and integrity, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment. What You’ll Bring - At least 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role. - Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and general ledger functions. - Proficiency in Xero or MYOB (or similar) and strong Microsoft Office skills. - A high degree of accuracy and a meticulous attention to detail. - Excellent professionalism, discretion, and a collaborative, ‘can-do’ attitude. - A strong passion for and commitment to supporting the development of the Indigenous business sector.
