The Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) is currently seekingapplications for multiple APS4 Payroll Officers and APS5 SeniorPayroll Officers, to join the Pay and Conditions team within ourPeople and Culture section.
These ongoing and non-ongoing hybrid positions can be located inCanberra, Melbourne and Sydney.
Remuneration: The annual salary range forthe position is APS4 - $76,887 - $83,480 & APS5 - $85,755 -$91,809 p.a., plus a generous employer superannuation contributionof 15.4%.

About the opportunity:
The Pay & Conditions team is responsible for the managementand administration of pay and conditions for staff and members ofthe ART in accordance with relevant APS and commonwealthlegislation, including maintaining and complete and accurateemployee data and documenting processes.
APS4 Payroll Officers and APS5 Senior Payroll Officers are apart of the Pay & Conditions team and assists in managing thepay and conditions for all members and staff, including providingadvice. The APS5 Senior Payroll Officers will manage more complexpay and condition matters and provide high level advice.
About you:
As a Payroll Officer you will be required to consistentlyimprove service standards through developing a deep understandingof employment conditions, innovation, systems, and processenhancements.
To be a successful APS4 Payroll Officer you will have:
- Sound working knowledge of, or the ability to quicklyacquire knowledge of, Australian Public Service payrollprinciples and processes. Experience with, or the ability toquickly acquire knowledge of and utilise, the Aurion payrollsystem.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake administrative tasks andprovide a high level of customer service.
- Strong stakeholder and client management skills to deliverfriendly, high quality and timely services consistent withregulatory and legislative requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good attention to detail, time management skills and theability to manage multiple and changing priorities whilstmeeting key deadlines such as fortnightly pay deadlines.
To be a successful APS5 Senior Payroll Officer you willhave:
- High level working knowledge of, or the ability to quicklyacquire knowledge of, Australian Public Service payrollprinciples and processes. Experience with, or the ability toquickly acquire knowledge of and utilise, the Aurion payrollsystem.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake and manage complexpayroll matters, including workers compensation entitlements,administrative tasks and provide a high level of customerservice.
- Strong stakeholder and client management skills to deliverfriendly, high quality and timely services consistent withregulatory and legislative requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good attention to detail, time management skills and theability to manage multiple and changing priorities whilstmeeting key deadlines.
Desirable:
- Experience in Payroll Processing
- Experience in Aurion HRMIS or similar system
