Urgent: Project Manager

INTRODUCTION

This position's main mission at Metso is to fulfill the scope and supply under the conditions established and expected by the client, acting in accordance with contractual clauses and terms, with the aim of maintaining the expected financial return.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Manage local and regional projects of low complexity and low/medium financial volume, implementing and establishing strategies that have short-term impact on business results, aiming to ensure the company's objectives.

• Negotiate with the client with any changes in prices and/or deadlines caused by scope modifications or other issues.

• Monitor the purchasing process of special items, staying informed about decisions regarding selection and changes (in deadlines or prices), as well as any cost transfers to the client.

• Expedite and ensure that all parties involved comply with the planned deadlines, costs, and payment-triggering events.

• Conduct field visits to expedite subcontractors, analyze and forward client complaints and technical assistance reports (supported by contractual documentation), demand solutions, and address non-conformities.

• Make regular visits to clients to monitor, coordinate, and control all contracts with the client and/or their representatives.

• Oversee in the field the implementation process of the project, including delivery and possession control (transportation, unloading, storage) – contract closure.

• Review orders, incorporate documentation, distribute them to relevant departments, and prepare control spreadsheets.

• Monitor installment payments, inform the Finance department about project progress, and provide support when necessary.

• Ensure the execution of contractual clauses.

• Be familiar with ISO 9001 procedures, instructions, and standards, and apply them in daily work to ensure the quality of the company and the services provided.

• Comply with and ensure compliance with all company HSE and Quality policies, procedures, and practices, and promote them across all areas under management.

• Perform other related and inherent professional activities as directed by the immediate supervisor.

TO SUCCEED

• Degree in Engineering

• Significant experience in the mining industry or mineral processing

• 5+ years of project management experience

• A proven track record of professional accomplishment and reliability

• Project management skills and/or background in engineering, construction, planning, quality assurance/control, commissioning, safety

• Service business understanding and customer service mindset

• Resourcing, competence development and performance management skills.

• Empowerment, delegation, prioritization & decision-making ability. Results driven.

• Ability to influence; negotiating skills

• Contractor/ supplier management skills

• Understanding of relevant mineral processing technologies

• Knowledge of relevant tools (MS Project, SAP, Enovia)
