Role Overview
This is more than a commercial role; it’s an opportunity to help shape the future of Tritton. As a key member of the site leadership team, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving performance, partnering with operational leaders to turn data and insight into meaningful action.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Commercial Manager leads the commercial function and act as a trusted advisor across to the General Manager and leadership team. You’ll guide strategic and operational decision-making, build commercial capability in others, and ensure strong governance across accounting, contracts, procurement and analysis in a proactive manner.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with site leaders to identify, analyse and deliver cost minimisation initiatives that improve operational performance.
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to optimise outcomes.
- Ensure delivery of accounting function requirements, ensuring compliance with corporate, legislative, and recognised accounting standards.
- Provide commercial, financial, IT and procurement, expertise to support annual business plans and budgets aligned with operational goals.
- Prepare accurate business reports, track KPIs, and monitor site performance, including cost of production and efficiency metrics.
- Managing the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes.
- Govern and review capital expenditure, engaging leaders to ensure alignment with strategic priorities and support preparation of capital expenditure proposals and requests.
- Lead procurement, warehousing, and contract administration, optimising supplier relationships and inventory management.
- Manage commercial team to ensure deadlines are met, including month end reporting, half year and year end reporting and budget and forecast.
What You Bring

You will bring a solid background in commercial management, with a passion for making a difference, along with a sense of fun to be part of our team. Additionally, you will bring:
- Significant and demonstrable experience in a commercial environment; mining industry essential;
- A hands‑on approach, with a willingness to dive in, collaborate, and turn ideas into action.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication skills underpinned by organisational skills and follow through;
- Strong negotiation skills with a successful track record in contract management and supplier relationships;
- Demonstrated experience partnering across site to influence measurable transformational, commercial outcomes, using insightful data analysis to inform operational decision making.
- CA or CPA qualified;
- Contemporary knowledge of relative governance/legislative requirements relevant to mining sector.
