With a history of over 60 years of continuous production, Chain Valley Colliery is located 60 kilometres south of Newcastle. We have substantial mine life and reliable future that is aligned with neighbouring Vales Point Power Station, the mine maintains employment for over 300 local people from its surrounding communities.

**The Role**

As the Mine Services Superintendent at Chain Valley Colliery, you will play a crucial role in promoting the Delta vision and values while ensuring the safety of all employees involved in effective operations of Outbye activities. You will be accountable for leading the team to achieve annual budgeted tonnes, safely and within budgeted costs, while maintaining a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities include:

- Collaborating with the management team to promote a positive and productive culture across the site.
- Providing leadership to the Mine Services team, ensuring effective and safe execution of daily and weekly plans.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislative requirements, as well as Chain Valley Colliery’s Safety Management System.
- Identifying and implementing continuous process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and safety standards.

**The Criteria**
- Certificate of Competency as a Deputy or an Undermanager. Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification are highly regarded.
- Ideally, you’ll have a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role in an underground coal mine.
- Strong knowledge of statutory requirements and risk management.
- Experience leading a team and keeping in line with site policies and the Enterprise Agreement.
- Budget management and cost control experience.
- Excellent planning, communication, and project management skills.
