Job Description

About the Role

As a Case Worker, you’ll support young people aged 10–17 years who are at risk of disengagement. You’ll work collaboratively with them, their families, and other stakeholders to create individualised action plans, providing guidance and resources to help them stay engaged and achieve their goals.

Key responsibilities include:

- Reduce the young person’s contact with police and criminogenic risk factors
- Increase participation in education or employment
- Strengthen family interactions or support from positive role models
- Engage young people and families to meet scheme completion requirements

What You Will Do

- Conduct assessments to identify needs and challenges
- Develop and implement tailored action plans
- Provide one-on-one support, mentoring, and advocacy
- Collaborate with families, schools, and community organisations
- Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed
- Maintain accurate case notes and documentation

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Knowledge of the Criminal Justice system
- Experience working with young people and adolescents with complex needs
- Experience working with Aboriginal clients and communities
- Proven ability to work within a case management framework
- Understanding of child protection legislation and ethical practice
- A Working with Children Check and National Police Check
- A current NSW driver’s licence and willingness to travel
