About the Role
As Team Leader – Heavy Patching, you will:
- Lead and coordinate a skilled team to inspect, maintain, and construct Council's road assets
- Operate and supervise heavy machinery including graders, rollers, and skid steers
- Ensure safety compliance and mentor staff in best practice road maintenance
- Maintain accurate records and liaise with the Capital Works Coordinator
What You'll Need
Essential:
- HR Driver's Licence (Heavy Rigid)
- Road construction and maintenance skills
- WHS General Construction Induction (White Card)
- Mechanical aptitude for equipment upkeep
- Ability to interpret engineering plans and supervise works
Desirable:
- Certificate III/IV in Civil Construction or Frontline Management
- First Aid Certificate
- Licences in Traffic Control, Chainsaw Operations, Chemical Use, and more
Who You'll Lead
- 2 Heavy Plant Operators
- 1 Skilled Construction Worker
- 1–3 Casual Employees (as required)
